Lord of the Rings Themed Wedding Invites

My friend Dorothy asked if I could help with her wedding invitations to make them personable and totally unique, and I think we succeeded – with Lord of the Rings themed invitations.

We didn’t necessarily copy anything from LOTR, but rather, we made it a clear fantasy look, resembling an book cover with worn out pages on the inside. It’s subtle things that match the LOTR theme that committed fans might notice. For example, I designed the pattern on the front based on the pendant from Arwen’s necklace.

I also designed a map on the inside flap that resembles the map inside of the LOTR books – except, of course, this map was of the Cleveland area and highlighted the locations of the wedding and reception.

I had a lot of fun with this project and think the couple was happy with their unique invitations.
